HUNTINGTON BEACH YOUTH CHARACTER AWARDS
Bella Terra Huntington Beach, Saturday, May 16th – 10 AM

The Huntington Beach Children’s Needs Task Force (CNTF), together with the City of Huntington Beach, is sponsoring the American Youth Character Awards program to honor young people whose lives and achievements demonstrate an enduring commitment to qualities associated with good character.  This award was developed by the Josephson Institute of Ethics.  For the past thirteen years, the CNTF has sent letters to school and community organizations, inviting them to nominate their choice of an outstanding individual for this award.
 
The names of the nominees and honorees will be announced at the 2015 Youth Character Award Recognition Ceremony and Officials from the City, Schools, Community Groups and residents will be present for the ceremony.

          Nominee Check in – 9:30 AM
Recognition Ceremony – 10:00 AM
 
  • All nominees will be introduced and each one will receive a keepsake certificate.
  • From this group, a select number of individuals will be inducted into the “Huntington Beach Youth Character Wall of Fame”, spotlighting them as role models for their generation.
  • The Wall of Fame honorees will be acknowledged at the City Council Meeting on June 1, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
  • The name of each honoree will be included on a perpetual plaque on the Wall of Fame at Bella Terra Huntington Beach
  • The honorees will recognized by the community as they ride in the July 4th HB Parade
