April 20, 2016 (Huntington Beach, CA) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley will hold the grand opening of its new Pacific Life Foundation Branch and Harry & Jaynne Boand Gymnasium on April 26 at 6:00pm at Golden West College. The grand opening celebration will include tours of the two new buildings and brief remarks at 6:45pm from community leaders, including State Senator Janet Nguyen. The two new buildings are part of a one-of-a-kind Family Campus on the Golden West College campus. Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley is excited to open California’s very first Boys & Girls Club on a college campus!

The new Kingston Technology Family Campus includes three buildings: the Robert Mayer Child Development Preschool, the Harry and Jaynne Boand Gymnasium, and the Pacific Life Foundation Branch School Age Center. This unique Family Campus will provide a continuum of programming ranging from infant care to programs for high school students, all side by side. The new location will help parents go back to school, keep kids on track for academic success, and help kids lay the right foundation for a college education. The Family Campus is expected to serve up to 2,500 youth per year, primarily from the Ocean View School District. It is estimated that 75% will come from low-income households.
