Event Description:
The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to host the highly anticipated annual State of the County on December 13th, 2019 at Pacific City. This year's State of the County will cover a variety of topics in regards to the current state of Orange County with multiple guest speakers in addition to a panel discussion as part of an morning you will not want to miss!
The event will over look the beautiful ocean as attendees gather at Pacific City in suite E200, upstairs across from Ola Mexican Kitchen from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Special keynote speakers will include, U.S. Congressman - Harley Rouda, Assembly Member - Cottie Petrie-Norris and Undersheriff - Bob Peterson. Following the keynote speakers, a panel consisting of President and CEO of United Way - Sue Parks, Vice President and COO of Investor Relations - Natalie Rubalcava and Superintendent Dr. Clint Harwick will be moderated by Regional President of Union Bank - Robin Narike Preciado. The State of the County is an opportunity for regional legislators, service providers and business organizations to update attendees on the challenges our county faces regarding important topics. Workforce Development, Housing Affordability and Homelessness are the top issues facing residents of Orange County and we are asking our speakers to provide insight as to how they are addressing these concerns and if possible, their future plans to continue development in Orange County.
We aim to provide facts about how these issues are related and how we must all work together to solve these problems in a coordinated fashion. Making progress on one issue may be short lived if the other issues aren’t addressed as well. This is a chance to highlight the challenges we face and show how we can continue to make Orange County a wonderful place to live and work.
