November 1 & 2 from noon - 5:00 PM

Costa Mesa

The course consists of 5 hours classroom followed by 10 hours of hands-on practice. Motorcycles and riding gear are provided. Scooters are also welcomed. Riding sessions are at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California.

 The Basic Rider Course is designed with the new rider in mind, and has served well in assisting current riders with furthering their skill development. The primary focus is on developing good mental skills and practice opportunities to help you get better at cornering, swerving, and braking. The course is progressive, we start simple and layer skills and new practices into drills. We further hope this puts you in a life-long path of learning and improving through knowledge and practice.  Successful completion of the course will waive the riding skills test at the California DMV. Riders under 21 must complete the basic course prior to obtaining a motorcycle license in California.^* Other benefits include insurance discounts, rebates from manufacturers, discounts on gear purchase, and some new found riding skills in your pocket!
