Two Military Jet Demonstration Teams to Headline
2nd Annual Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow
US Navy Blue Angels and RCAF Snowbirds Jet Demonstration Teams to Headline, Show Dates Announced

(Huntington Beach, CA) Dec. 6, 2016 -- The United States Navy (USN) Blue Angels flight demonstration team and the Royal Canadian Air Force announced that the Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow has been included on the 2017 Blue Angel and Snowbird schedule. The announcement was made today at the International Council of Airshows (ICAS) Convention in Las Vegas, NV. The 2017 Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow will be held September 29th – October 1.

“The Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow is honored and excited to host two of the world’s premier military jet demonstration teams – the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the Canadian Snowbirds,” said Airshow Director Michael McCabe. “Their spectacular demonstrations will thrill the young and young at heart. If you haven’t seen them perform, the grace of the Snowbirds followed by the precision of the Blue Angels will leave you breathless. Make sure to make your calendars, because you won’t want to miss the awe-inspiring show we have planned!”

Formed in 1946, the Blue Angels team consists of aviators from the Navy and Marine Corps, and is the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world. The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to our country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.
Testing the limits of their distinctive blue and gold Boeing F/A-18 Hornet jets and C-130 (affectionately named Fat Albert), the Blue Angels precision routine makes them a must see for this year’s show.
The nine CT-114 Tutor plane Snowbirds team are the pride of the Canadian Royal Air Force. The group began in 1971 and has flown stunt shows in North America since its inception. Serving as ambassadors of the CAF, the CF Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of skill, professionalism, teamwork, discipline and dedication inherent in the men and women of the CAF and they inspire the pursuit of excellence wherever they go in North American.

In addition to the unparalleled refinement of the Blue Angels and Snowbirds, the family friendly show will feature top civilian performers including high-energy aerobatics, vintage warbirds and more.
General admission to the Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow is free of charge. Premium hospitality options will be also available for attendees. A portion of the proceeds from Airshow will go to support the Aerospace Education Foundation of Huntington Beach, a nonprofit that encourages education and careers in the aerospace and aviation fields.
