in Simi Valley


This will be the first Stater Bros. Supermarket to serve the Community of Simi Valley and Ventura County
 
San Bernardino, California (August 17, 2016) On its 80th anniversary, Stater Bros. is pleased to announce that it will  open its first Supermarket in Simi Valley, California on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.  Located at 660 East Los Angeles Avenue, the new “Blue Ribbon” Supermarket will bring Simi Valley residents a conveniently located and modern full-service shopping experience.
 
“Stater Bros. is rooted in the American tradition and we are a great fit in Simi Valley’s patriotic community,” added Stater Bros. President and CEO Pete Van Helden.   “We are excited to establish roots in a new community and look forward to acquainting Simi Valley customers with Stater Bros.’ extensive offerings and services,” Van Helden concluded.
 
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held in the store parking lot at 8:00 a.m. on August 24, 2016, and the new 80th Anniversary “Blue Ribbon” Supermarket will open for business immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony. After Wednesday, the new Supermarket will be open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will be led by Store Manager Micah Russell, who has over 18 years of service with Stater Bros. Markets.
 
During the ribbon cutting festivities, Stater Bros. Charities will make $14,000 in donations to local community organizations.
 
“Stater Bros. was founded by WWII Veterans and I am a Navy Veteran myself,” stated Stater Bros. Executive Chairman Jack H. Brown. “Stater Bros. has always believed in not just doing business in the community but being part of the community and we have a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities we are privileged to serve. In celebration of Stater Bros. 80th Anniversary ‘Blue Ribbon’ Simi Valley Supermarket, we are pleased to donate to organizations that support causes in the Simi Valley community,” Brown further stated.  
 
Donations will be made to:
 
  • The Simi Valley Police Department for the PAL/Explorer’s Program
  • The Royal Highland Brigade, who will also perform at the ribbon cutting ceremony
  • The Simi Valley Public Library, funds will be used to expand and create the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) program 
  • Boys and Girls Club of Simi Valley to support their after-school program 
  • For the Troops to help defray care package shipping costs
  • The Salvation Army Simi Valley Corps for their food pantry
  • The Free Clinic of Simi Valley for their dental services
 
The new 80th Anniversary “Blue Ribbon” Simi Valley Supermarket will be the first location for Stater Bros. in Simi Valley and the 1st  Stater Bros. Supermarket location in Ventura County.  At 48,000 sq. ft., the 80th Anniversary Simi Valley “Blue Ribbon” Stater Bros. Supermarket will feature:
 
  • A Full Service Fresh Meat Department with Stater Bros. famous certified Meat Cutters ready serve you
  • A Full Service Fresh Seafood Department with friendly seafood experts to assist with selection
  • FujiSan Handcrafted Sushi made in-house daily
  • Smokehouse Meats including California-cut tri-tip, split whole chickens, chicken leg quarters, California hot wings, Texas style pork ribs and savory-sweet salmon fillets smoked in-house daily with hickory wood chips
  • A Full Service Deli including Cleo & Leo exclusive recipe and always fresh hand-breaded fried chicken,  specialty sandwiches and wraps,  full line of prepared party trays, charcuterie boards and charcuterie cured meats and fine cheeses
  • Full Service Hot Bakery with a full selection of Artisan breads and rolls, specialty single serve desserts, Cleo and Leo line of classic cakes and in-house cake decorators to assist with all special occasion needs
