32nd Annual Driver’s Safety Awards Breakfast

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA (June 8, 2016) – Stater Bros. Markets is proudly celebrating 80 years of serving southern California families and part of that celebration includes honoring the 272 Truck Drivers responsible for safely transporting the best and freshest quality merchandise from the company’s state-of-the-art distribution center to your local Stater Bros. supermarket.
 
The 32nd Annual Driver’s Safety Awards Breakfast recently took place at the Riverside Convention Center.
 
This year, ELEVEN (11) Drivers were recognized for earning the “ONE MILLION MILE SAFE DRIVING” award. Stater Bros. drivers must maintain a record of 15-years of safe driving without a single accident or citation to receive this prestigious award.  Award recipients are presented with “Million Mile” jackets and caps to acknowledge their dedication and commitment to road safety.
 
To date, there are over 143 current and retired “Family” members that have earned the High Honor of “ONE MILLION MILE SAFE DRIVING” award and 25 current and retired “Family” members that have earned the “TWO MILLION MILE SAFE DRIVING” award.        
 
“I am extremely proud of the Company’s Truck Drivers.  They are the sharpest and keep their rigs the best on the road, any road,” stated Jack H. Brown, Executive Chairman of Stater Bros. Markets.  “Stater Bros. is celebrating its 80th Anniversary, and a big part of how we’ve reached this milestone is because of the professionalism and consistent regard for safety demonstrated by our Truck Drivers,” Brown further added.
