Stater Bros. Announces New “Blue Ribbon” Supermarket

 
San Bernardino, California (September 12, 2016) – Stater Bros. Markets is pleased to announce that plans are currently underway to construct a new energy efficient “Blue Ribbon” Supermarket in Norco, California. 
 
The new Norco location neighbors the communities of Corona and Eastvale, and will replace a smaller Stater Bros. Supermarket located at 1999 River Road.  At 44,200 sq. ft., the new “Blue Ribbon” Supermarket will be approximately 45% larger than the existing River Road location and is expected to open in the spring of 2017.
 
“Family” Members of the current River Road location will move to the new site. 
 
The expanded Supermarket will double the existing employee count and bring more good-paying, new union jobs with benefits to the area.

Located at the southwest corner of River Road and Corydon Street, the Norco Stater Bros. “Blue Ribbon” Supermarket will anchor the Norco Village shopping center, developed by Lewis Retail Centers. Norco Village is a new 13 acre development that will accommodate nearly 113,000 sq. ft. of retail and office space.  
 
The new energy efficient and environmentally friendly “Blue Ribbon” supermarket will provide local customers with a wider variety of products and services.  Customers will continue to find Certified Meat Cutters behind the full-service Meat Department counter; meet seafood professionals in the new full-service Seafood Department; find a selection of over 800 items in the expanded Produce Department; and enjoy the convenience and selection at the new full-service Bakery, full-service Deli and full-service Floral Departments.
