Redlands Fire Station #261 to Make $5,000 Check Presentation to Stater Bros. Charities' & Inland Women Fighting Cancer Believe Walk

    SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 19, 2016) – Since 2008, Stater Bros. Charities’ and Inland Women Fighting Cancer (IWFC) Believe Walk organizers have focused their efforts on raising monies that support local cancer centers and cancer-fighting organizations within the Inland Empire. Over time, their hard work, compassion and determination has inspired numerous community members to champion the cause. Firefighters representing Redlands Fire Station #261 are no exception. Annually, the group conducts a cancer awareness pink ribbon T-shirt campaign. All proceeds collected are earmarked to support the Believe Walk. To reinforce their commitment, station members swap out their standard blue T-shirt for the pink ribbon one and wear it proudly throughout October. Their 2015 campaign profited $5,000 that will proudly be turned over to Stater Bros. Charities and IWFC members at a special presentation.

    “The Redlands Professional Firefighters are proud to be part of such a great cause,” commented Bill Conway, president of the Redlands Professional Firefighters Association. “Our own members have been directly touched by this terrible disease; so this donation is our way of demonstrating how we wholeheartedly ‘believe’ in the effort.”
