Bike Festival at the Huntington Beach Pier to promote Share the Ride!

 OCTA is gearing up for National Bike Month in May.  Preparations include our annual Bike Festival which takes place April 27, 2014 from 9am to 1pm at Pier Plaza in Huntington Beach. This is one of Orange County’s healthiest and most inspiring commuter events. The Bike Festival will encourage more bicycling and fewer car trips in Orange County and that will enhance our air quality, cut down on traffic congestion and improve health and fitness in our County.

Our goal is to encourage bicycle commuting and to connect Orange County residents with valuable resources. There will be booths, demonstrations, safety instruction, contests and entertainment. Vendors will display a variety of bicycles and related bicycling equipment. Organizations will have information about their clubs, organized rides and upcoming bicycling events.

OCTA will also be promoting participation in the upcoming May bike events that include Bike to Work Week, May 12 – 16 and the annual Bike Rally from the Orange to OCTA Headquarters on  Thursday, May 15, during that week.
